This infant cap is appropriate for boy or girl babies. The front of the cap can be plain or embellished with a variety of decorative treatments such as lace trim, embroidery, hemstitching, etc. Several time-saving features reduce construction time: 1. Instead of separately stitched band, the front of cap is folded back, creating a self-band or flap. 2. The crown is faced, eliminating the challenge of rolling and whipping a fabric circle. 3. Lower edge of cap is finished with a bias facing. 4. Ribbon rosette and tie (streamer) are made from one length of ribbon instead of rosette and streamer being made separately, then tacked together.
