I
made three of the Snap Happy Ponchos for my sister's triplets when
they were about 2 years old. She said they were the best present
ever because it made it so easy to get them ready to go out - the
ponchos are easy to put on, and easy to take off in the car on long
trips when the car was warmed up inside. I used cute fleeces for the
outside and lined them with sweatshirt fleece. I made them a little
big and they wore them for a couple of winters. Plus, they looked so
cute! Thanks for such great patterns!

Snap Happy Poncho pattern
(911), $7.95,
Multisize pattern for sizes newborn - 4T.
This reversible
poncho with cuffed sleeves has 2 layers - 1 polar or sweatshirt
fleece, 1 jersey or knit layer. Unlike ponchos with no sleeves, this
poncho has cuffs to prevent the poncho from twisting, but is still
loose enough to keep your child from getting too hot. With roll up
cuffs, you can get extra use from the poncho just by adjusting the
cuffs as your child grows. The infant pouch has an opening for car
seat straps and has elastic waist. The poncho can be made with a
petal shaped hemline for girls, rounded edge for boys.
