The large zippered bag can be made two ways – as a flat tote bag or as a dimensional bag with a flat bottom. To make the bag with a flat bottom, simply fold the bottom corners of the finished tote bag up to the sides and sew a large button to each of the corners. The size of the finished tote bag is 20” wide by 18” tall. The size of the bag with a flat bottom is 20” wide by 13 1/2” tall by 8” deep. The bag is made with a simple lining that is sewn to the wrong side of the front and back before assembling the bag. Straps are made from the same material as the lining. Heavyweight fabrics are recommended. Instructions are included for sewing a leather or fabric rectangle and a button to the front of the bag for an embellishment.
